Ansamitocin
P-3 is a macrolide antibiotic with multiple pharmacological activities such as
anti-tumor, anti-tuberculosis, and anti-bacterial. Ansamitocin is synthesized
by the fermentation method of Actinomycetes. Its components include P-0, P-1,
P-2, P-3, P-3', P-4 and P-4', and Ansamitocin P-3 is the main product.
Ansamitocin P-3 is chemically converted into maytansine . Because maytansine
has strong cytotoxicity, it can be used as a "warhead" to synthesize
antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) with monoclonal antibodies.
Rhinogen ® Ansamitocin P-3 is a white powder that is easily soluble
in solvents such as methanol, acetone, chloroform, and acetonitrile. The purity
of Rhinogen ® Ansamitocin P- 3 monomers can reach more than 93%, and
the purity of homologues can reach more than 98%. The recommended storage
temperature is 2~8℃.
