Hyaluronidase ( HAase ) is an enzyme that can hydrolyze hyaluronic acid (hyaluronic acid is a component in the tissue matrix that has the function of limiting the diffusion of water and other extracellular substances ). Hyaluronidase plays an important role in the medical field. It can temporarily reduce the viscosity between cells, thereby helping subcutaneous infusion to diffuse faster and promoting the absorption of locally accumulated exudate or blood. This characteristic makes hyaluronidase an effective drug diffusion agent. It is used clinically as a drug permeation agent to promote the absorption of drugs and promote the dissipation of local edema or hematoma after surgery and trauma.

Overview:

This kit uses the turbidity method to detect hyaluronidase activity. The principle is: a certain amount of enzyme and excess substrate are incubated at 37°C for 30 minutes, hyaluronidase hydrolyzes part of the substrate, and the remaining unhydrolyzed substrate reacts with excess acidified serum to generate a substrate-serum protein coordination compound. This compound is a suspension, and the absorbance of the coordination compound can be measured at a wavelength of 640nm. Under specified conditions, the absorbance is linearly related to the enzyme titer. A standard curve is drawn with standards of different titers and their corresponding absorbances, and the titer
of the test sample can be calculated from the standard curve.
