Detailed Introduction
Recombinant human Fcγ RIIIa 158V (His tag).
background:
CD16 is a low-affinity Fc receptor and contains two subtypes , Fcγ RIIIa (CD16a) and Fcγ RIIIb (CD16b) . These receptors bind to the Fc portion of IgG antibodies. CD16 is expressed by two different highly homologous genes in specific cell types. CD16 is present on the surface of natural killer cells, neutrophils, polymorphonuclear leukocytes, monocytes, and macrophages. The CD16a antigen is also known as low-affinity immunoglobulin Fcγ RIIIA, Fcγ RIIIα. CD16b is a low-affinity, GPI-linked receptor expressed by neutrophils and eosinophils, while CD16a is an intermediate-affinity polypeptide-anchored transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by natural killer cells, macrophages, T-cell subsets, immature thymocytes, and placental trophoblasts. Abnormal expression or mutation of CD16a is associated with susceptibility to recurrent viral infections, systemic lupus erythematosus, and alloimmune neonatal neutropenia.
Sequence source:
Recombinant human Fcγ RIIIa 158V (Gly 17 - Gln 208) is expressed in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells and is His-tagged.
