Detailed Introduction
background:
Inducible T-cell co-stimulator (ICOS), also known as activation-induced lymphocyte immune mediator molecule (AILIM), CD278, belongs to the CD28 family of immune co-stimulatory receptors consisting of CD28, CTLA-4 and PD-1. ICOS enhances all basic responses of T cells to foreign antigens, namely proliferation, secretion of lymphokines, upregulation of molecules that mediate cell-cell interactions, and effective help of B cells to secrete antibodies. CD278/ICOS prevents apoptosis of pre-activated T cells and plays a key role in CD40- mediated class switching of immunoglobin isotypes.
Overview:
Antigen name: Human ICOS / CD278 (C136S, C137S) Protein, His Tag;
Other names: ICOS, CD278, AILIM, inducible T-cell co-stimulator;
Sequence source: Human ICOS protein, His Tag (ICS-H52Ha) expressed by human 293 cells (HEK293) with His tag;
Molecular Weight: The calculated molecular weight of this protein is 19.1 kDa . Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates at 25-33 kDa under reducing conditions (SDS-PAGE) .
