Detailed Introduction
background:
Siglecs (sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectins) are a unique subset of the Ig superfamily with an adhesion molecule-like structure. Here we describe a new member of the siglec protein family that has a similar structure, including five Ig-like domains, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic tail containing two ITIM signaling motifs. Siglec-10 was identified by database mining of an EST library of asthmatic eosinophils. The Siglec-10-VAP-1 interaction appears to mediate lymphocyte adhesion to endothelial cells and has the potential to alter the inflammatory microenvironment through enzymatic end products .
Overview:
Antigen name : Human Siglec-10 Protein, Fc Tag;
Other names : SIGLEC10, MGC126774, PRO940, Siglec10, SLG2;
Sequence source : Human Siglec-10, Fc tag (SI0-H5253) expressed by human 293 cells (HEK293) with Fc tag;
Molecular Weight : The calculated molecular weight of this protein is 84.6 kDa . Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates at 90-115 kDa under reducing conditions (SDS-PAGE) .
