Detailed Introduction
background:
GUCY2C (guanylate cyclase C), also known as the heat-stable enterotoxin receptor, is a type I transmembrane protein of the guanylate cyclase ( gc ) family that signals through the production of cGMP. Guanylate cyclase C (GUCY2C) and its hormones guanosine and uroguanosine have recently emerged as a paracrine axis that protects intestinal mucosal integrity from mutational, chemical, and inflammatory insults. GUCY2C mouse CAR-T cells recognize and kill human colorectal cancer cells that endogenously express GUCY2C. Thus, we have identified a human GUCY2C-specific CAR-T cell therapy that could be developed for the treatment of GUCY2C-expressing metastatic colorectal cancer.
Overview:
Antigen name : Human GUCY2C / Guanylyl cyclase C Protein, Fc Tag;
Other names : GUCY2C, GUC2C, STAR, STA receptor, hSTAR , GC-C;
Sequence source : human GUCY2C, Fc tag (GUC-H5257) expressed by human 293 cells (HEK293), with Fc tag;
Molecular Weight : The calculated molecular weight of this protein is 72.5 kDa . Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates at 80-130 kDa when calibrated against the Star Ribbon prestained protein marker under reducing conditions (SDS-PAGE) .
