Detailed Introduction
background:
Poliovirus receptor-related 2 (PVRL2), also known as nectin-2 and CD112 (formerly known as herpesvirus entry mediator B, HVEB), is a human plasma membrane glycoprotein. PVRL2 is one of the plasma membrane components of adherens junctions. PVRL2 also serves as a portal of entry for certain mutant strains of herpes simplex virus and pseudorabies virus and is involved in the cell-to-cell spread of these viruses. Variations in the PVRL2 gene are associated with differences in the severity of multiple sclerosis. In addition, PVRL2 has a lower affinity for TIGIT. In addition, PVRL2 serves as a receptor for herpes simplex virus 1 (HHV-1) mutant Rid1, herpes simplex virus 1 (HHV-2), and pseudorabies virus (PRV).
Overview:
Antigen name : Human Nectin-2 / CD112 Protein, Fc Tag;
Other names : CD112, Nectin-2, PVRL2;
Sequence source : Human Nectin-2, Fc tag (PV2-H5253) expressed by human 293 cells (HEK293) with Fc tag;
Molecular Weight : The calculated molecular weight of this protein is 62.2 kDa . Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates at 70-80 kDa under reducing conditions (SDS-PAGE) .
