Detailed Introduction
Antigen Name:
Recombinant human PLAU / uPA protein (His Tag)/Human PLAU / uPA Protein, His Tag;
Other Names:
Urokinase, PLAU, ATF, UPA, URK, u-PA, BDPLT5, QPD;
background:
Urokinase-type plasminogen activator, also known as PLAU and UPA, is a serine protease with extremely limited substrate specificity that cleaves the Cys -Pro-Gly-Arg560-Val561-Val-Gly-Gly- Cys sequence in plasminogen to form plasminogen. uPA and its receptor ( uPAR ) are involved in a variety of pathophysiological processes, including fibrinolysis, proteolysis, inflammation, atherosclerosis, and plaque destabilization, all of which are involved in the pathogenesis of myocardial infarction (MI).
Sequence source:
Human PLAU / uPA Protein, His Tag, expressed by Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells; protein number P00749-1 (Ser21 - Leu431), with His tag;
Molecular Weight:
The theoretical molecular weight is 48.28 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the molecular weights of SDS-PAGE reduction electrophoresis are 17 kDa, 32-35 kDa and 45-50 kDa.
