Detailed Introduction
Antigen Name:
Human CD38, His Tag;
Other Names:
CD38, T10, cADPr hydrolase 1;
background:
CD antigen CD38 is also known as ADP-nucleotide cyclase 1 and belongs to the ADP-ribose cyclase family. CD38 is expressed at high levels in the pancreas, liver, kidney, brain, testis, ovary, placenta, malignant lymphoma and neuroblastoma. CD38 is a multifunctional extracellular enzyme that catalyzes the synthesis and hydrolysis of cyclic ADP-ribose (CADPR) from NAD+ to ADP-ribose. These reaction products are essential for regulating intracellular Ca2+. Loss of CD38 function is associated with impaired immune response, metabolic disorders and behavioral modification. CD38 protein is a marker of cell activation. It is associated with HIV infection, leukemia, multiple myeloma, solid tumors, type II diabetes and bone metabolism . CD38 has been used as a prognostic marker for leukemia.
Sequence source:
Human CD38, His Tag is expressed in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells; protein number is NP_001766 (Val43-Ile300), with His tag.
Molecular Weight:
The theoretical molecular weight is 30.97 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the molecular weight of SDS-PAGE reduction electrophoresis is 35-45 kDa.
