background:

IgdE protease is an immunoglobulin degrading enzyme that cleaves only at a specific site above the hinge region of human IgG1 to produce Fab and intact Fc fragments. The optimal pH of the enzyme is 6.5~7.5, and no reducing environment or other auxiliary factors are required. Since IgdE protease only cleaves at a specific site (..KSCDKT / HTCPPCP..) of human IgG1, there is no risk of over-digestion by extending the incubation time.
